Google Doodle of the Day: Google and The Jim Henson Company joined forces to create a special doodle honoring what would have been Henson’s 75th birthday. (Link to Google.)

The Easter Egg-filled interactive doodle allows users to “puppeteer” six original characters created specially for the occasion by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Meanwhile, on the official Google blog, Henson’s son Brian remembers his dad.

If you read this Tumblr (what up! All 5 of you!), you know that I love the muppets. I strongly, strongly, urge you to watch this video of the muppets singing an impromptu version of “One is the loneliest number”. This is why the muppets are the best thing ever, this sort of thing right here. Jimmy Fallon may be a tool, but just like Grinch, I watched this and I carved the roast beast. Wait, that’s not right.
