Google Doodle of the Day: Google and The Jim Henson Company joined forces to create a special doodle honoring what would have been Henson’s 75th birthday. (Link to Google.)

The Easter Egg-filled interactive doodle allows users to “puppeteer” six original characters created specially for the occasion by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Meanwhile, on the official Google blog, Henson’s son Brian remembers his dad.

For my love of Jim Henson, the Muppets, and everything puppeteering.

An original and insanely adorable idea on how to share your photos with your baby, even though it has no idea what a photo is!
Dear Sophie - Google Chrome

Oh goodness, this commercial made me tear up so incredibly bad. What an incredible, sweet idea (and perfect for the new, technology-driven generation).

Gmail Function Concept of the Day: Syracuse University Industrial Design student Rahul Mahtani & Yofred Moik imagine a world in which Gmail users can, with the touch of a button and for the cost of a single stamp, convert their e-mail into snail-mail, complete with Google Maps-branded envelope.
Would you take advantage of this service if it were made available?

This is so cool, as well as creative/artsy! A definite, cute alternative to standard white envelopes.
