These fires are so terrifying and devastating.

All weekend I heard fire truck sirens and on campus today, there was a heavy haze in the air and it smelled of smoke. I hope the fires can fully be contained so that they do not spread any closer and do not damage any more homes or land. There have already been almost 800 homes lost in the fires these last few days and over tens of thousands of acres of land.

This is so heartbreaking…
