So. Exhausted. So. Stressed.
Work Week for Recruitment ended today…that means 2011 Panhellenic Recruitment starts TOMORROW!!
It has been a BEYOND busy week, getting ready for all of the recruitment events this week. I am Skit Chair, and although it was stressful having to organize late-night rehearsals, practice songs/dances, make sure girls had their lines memorized, work on set design/lights/sound/etc., I am SOOO pleased with the result. I am so proud of all of my sisters and all of the hard work we have done this past week to make this recruitment amaXIng, and I can’t wait to meet the wonderful and beautiful new pledge class we will have on Bid Day on Tuesday! (And then classes start the next day! Whew!)
This week I’ve also had to deal with Tyree moving back to his hometown while he looks for work in Austin, and with having a close family member (sister-in-law’s dad) start chemotherapy/radiation treatment for brain cancer (prayers/thoughts greatly needed; he was only diagnosed a few weeks ago). Plus, I blew a fuse in my apartment tonight and my landlady didn’t answer her phone, so I’m having to stay at the sorority house tonight. With all of this PLUS the stress of work week and recruitment, it’s been emotionally hectic, to say the least. I still have to find time this week to get my books for next semester AND go grocery shopping. Ugh.
Even though I know I won’t get much this week, I need all the rest I can get. Sorry I’ve been kind of absent recently on Tumblr, but hopefully this post explains my absence justly (as well as why I will have a lack of posts in the coming week, as well).
